it's been a really REALLY REEEEALLY crazy week. and even crazy is already an understatement! bahhh.

in a week, i started a new part-time job and ended it on the very same week cos i got an internship from siemens! (: thank you very many much to debbie for 'hooking' me up to the project. :D i'm gonna be a marketing researcher, yo! hahahha as for the part-time job that i had to end, it was really really interesting. you get to speak to many sorts of people and i swear it's such an eye-opening experience even if my feet ache like crazy at the end of the day! then at night there's still the champagnes(i'm getting better at this) and wines(not so.hahah) waiting to be popped open and a mix of nice(yay!) and nasty(boo!) and plain naughty customers to beam at, no matter what. :D even my ex part-time job boss told me i was too hardworking. awwww. :D and that just totally fueled the workaholic in me!!!! hahahahaha

yeah, i think i'm going crazy! hahaah. and new blog song! :D this prolly reminds you of dawson's creek.

he wanted to watch this scary malay movie, and since it wasn't my birthday, of course, i said yes.

it was pretty scary, but the sound effects irritated me to the bones. it's obvious that they were trying to be scary whenever this particular weird sound plays. but yes, his birthday, no more complains. :P

then off we were for dinner to the secret place yours truly booked in advance. he's a steak person luh so i did some research and thought my secret garden was pretty nice and worth a try.

not exactly very 'garden-ish'. HAHAHA changed seats only THREE times. LOL only goes to show how often we change our minds, eh?
initially the seats reserved were inside but outside's ambience was cozier so we requested to move there. lucky it wasn't crowded. :D

a few days before my birthday, remember i craved for indian food? i was actually craving for NAAN. hahah. and that time we didn't get to eat naan cos there wasn't any naan! so this was the boyfriend's (technically) story-behind-why-he-brought-me-to-later-you'll-find-out-where. (:

argued for hours about my dress (note: pigrass would have probably dubbed it 'FHM' hahaha) and couldn't find the other pair of my mum's pearl earrings and got so so so stressed up searching(oh you can't imagine), so much so that by the time we left, we were caught up in the traffic jam. :( and we missed the movie we were supposed to catch too. :(((((((

been reading books the past few days (i'm on my THIRD!), thanks to a couple of books i found abandoned at my floor's pantry. most of them are gory ones (surprisingly, i think it was good. not a fan of gore) by tess gerritsen, though the 'rules for living' came from Helen Fielding's 'Olivia Jones and the Overactive Imagination.'

the character in the book is rather amusing and i found her 'rules' rather apt for everyone. hahas. so i thought i'd share it. (: i'm only halfway the book, but i'll probably be sucked into this book and finish it by today.

ah, i've unleashed the bookworm in me. 8D

when we reached esplanade, shuhui asked me to go to the toilet with her, then when we were on our way back to the picnic place, i was half-expecting for the silly earthlings to be there. but i was wrong!

anyway... i read a couple of articles on myanmar's cyclone and it's like banda aceh all over again. sadly, we will forget about it soon and it will just be another 'hype' dying down. it's amazing how we can forget tragedies like these so easily. well, you can also see it as us seeing far too many of tragic events around us.

it's amazing when those diagrams in your geography book happens in real life, and it's not some 20 mark essay question you have to answer, more like vomit and regurgitate, anymore.

some experts said that, if the mangrove forests were not converted to shrimp farms and rice paddies, they could have made use of it's natural defense system against storms. this is like geography ss once again. :P though the whole event screams GLOBAL WARMING at the top of its lungs and all other organs, someone said that "it's [meteorological data] too short and too poor in quality to make judgments about whether tropical cyclones have been affected by global warming."*rolls eyes* can you believe this people?

initially, the plan was to go reverse bungee jumping then stuff ourselves at 7,107 flavours. but the finance department couldn't materialize our plan, so we decided to watch definitely, maybe (which reminds me. i have yet to watch this movie! :() instead, then go for dinner.

sadly, since it was a saturday, the whole singapore was in town and everyone wanted to watch movies. the only timeslot available was at 7+, and by the time that ended, we'll prolly just have to eat popcorns for dinner too. hahahhaha AND only the first TWO rows were available!

so what better way to kill time?

no, no, no, no, nooooo.. not taking pictures. :P well technically, not yet. hahas we went to eat donuts from donut factory! i was so happy to queue (for the first time in my life) cos queueing would kill time!!! :) ahbaden, to my disappointment, there was NO queue! :( why why why?!?!?!?!

nonetheless, we got ourselves 6 donuts! :) mmmmmmmmm. :D the double chocolate was suggested by chocolate connoisseur, rrrrrroman *with italian accent*. hahahh. the rest was just by impulse. cinnamon, hazelnut and glazed. i'm not being biased but methinks krispy kremes' glazed donut is still the best! though i have to say, their double chocolate is very yummy! :D caution: it's VERY VERY VERY sweet! don't say i didn't warn you!

WHY? well... cos i finally finished! :) though no standing ovation cos only 1 out of my 4 papers was OK *sigh*, i feel much much better now that exam's are over! :D i shall just start striking things out of my after-exams-to-do-list until 30th of may comes and face the results. like they say, what's done is done.

anyway, ever since like reading week, i did NOT log in to facebookzz or friendster! :D

so first part of my freedom was to approve friend requests (i had 17!!! :P so fun!) superpoke people back (i got so lazy i just mass poked EVERYONE. hahahhaha), and buy back my human pets (what's mine is MINEE!!! hahahah) and also, reply to birthday greetings from thoughtful peoplezz of the world! :D it's as if it's my birthday again. YAAAAAY! :) hahahha

was supposed to meet the boyfriend and buy ingredients to make our own sausage shrooms macaroni, but that boy is still snoring. :( so here i am waiting. :P AND, i'm so lazy to edit and upload those many many maaaaany photos leiiiiiiiiiiiiii. *LAZYBUM FACE* but here's a few taken yesterday after nahnah and shuhui's last paper, and well, my second to the last! :P

i just finished watching the teary episode of gossip girl! *crybaby face!* the last part was totally TOTALLY touching (i love the humprey dumfreys! :D) until it ended with serena's confession. :/ unbelievable. and DID YOU KNOW, she acted in the travelling pants sisterhood movie!!! hahaha. if you've not watched it, i know the title sounds funny and all, but i was a teenager(OMG! i'm not even twenteeeen anymore!) once too, so i can't deny watching chick flicks! actually, i still do! :D maybe teen cheesy chick-ish flick is more appropriate, yes?

just got back from half-mugging half-chit-chatting at the central lib with the lovebirds, jordan and donna. i was supposed to be home 2 hours ago, but jordan the self-proclaimed master forgot it was a sunday and so the first bus didn't come until 9am. BOOOOO. hahaha. anyway, i decided to study with them since i was out the whole night (post and photos after exams!! hahaha) with some council peepearls to celebrate suzian's birthday. plus i watched ironman with the boyfriend on friday night! his cure for my stat paper's depression. (:

just a few minutes ago, the cluster leader knocked on my door and said,

hahahha well, i've lost far too many stuff (most of them food in the fridge, i have no choice but to keep them there!) and i got tired of writing 'please do not steal' 'i will share with you my apples, REALLY! just ask' and many many other love notes to some thief in my cluster/floor. so this is a pretty BIG thing, yanoe!

so, she wanted to confront the suspect, but being the cowardice that i am, i suggested we call the resident assistant(RA). hahaha. i'm a scaredy cat. :P but atleast it's to our advantage! :)

ok, so here's what happened. cluster leader (A) went to the pantry to cook mouth-watering noodles, but forgot something in the room, so she left her 2 packets of noodles in the pantry. then! when she came back, another girl from the floor (C) whom i've never seen my whole life sem, was just leaving the pantry with a pot in hand. A soon realised that ONE of the packets was missing, so of course, something was FISHAEY since C was the only person in the pantry when she disappeared for maybe ONE MINUTE.. horhor.

SO, the RA knocked on C's door many many times, then after a pretty long time she screamed 'SLEEPIIIIING!' i mean. C'MON! it was just minutes ago A saw you! fine. benefit of the doubt, it was way past her bedtime. but of course, the RA continued to summon her out.

'THIS IS YOUR RA, PLEASE COME OUT NOW, WE HAVE A PRETTY SERIOUS CASE.'

macam detectives! hahhahaha. i swear i was giggling the whole time cos i thought it was pretty funny AND serious at the same time. :/ heh. then after a loooong wait, she finally opened the door. (and she probably had enough time to hide her 'illegal goods') C is a PRC and so it was just high-tone, piercing voice and the RA's calm voice that followed.

fast forward by many many cheeenah lines, the RA suggested we go room to room. OH! that was before C finally gave in and allowed A to check her room. but C's room was so daaaaaamn messy that it can probably be anywhere! other people gladly let the 'inspectors' in, as in instantaneously.

sadly, A didn't manage to find the noodles from C's avalanche. :( so the results of this study is inconclusive. (noooo.. don't get me started with stats! today's paper was BAD.)

ANYWAY, there's more into the story, but it's gonna take forever to write it, and you're probably just gonna get bored cos it's different when you're watching it LIVE. so yeah.

moral of the story,
if you stay in a hostel, your stuff are bound to get stolen.
i've been boarding school/hostel-hopping my whole time in singapore, so i've had a whole lot of experience. :P i kinda got used to it and learnt to keep as much things in my room as possible.

but even so. this is the first time i've experienced catching someone RED-handed! fine. ALMOST red-handed (pink-handed?). she was raising her voice and hysterical and all. and did i tell you. a few minutes after we've gone room to room (C said screamed that she doesn't want to go and see other people's room! her sense of... dignity?), she was seen leaving with TWO (nope, NOT one) BACKPACKS. (i take that back)

go figure.

hee. random line from a song i used to sing when i was very veryyy young! :) and the *muffles* were probably made up words/phrases that you've never heard before.. but you know how it is when kids try to impress ppl and pretend that they know the lyrics, and adults would pretend they perfectly understood! hahahah.

the song's from this tape(no CDs at that time!) my mum and dad bought for me ( i remember it was BLUE!)and i always played that tape until i memorised the lyrics and all. :P i kinda do that until now. i mean, listening to a song i really like again and again then sing it while showering, but this time no need to rewind for a looooooooong time just to hear it again, cos now, we've got the REPEAT mode in mp3 players! :))

before i digress further, i actually wanted to blog cos i just heard birds chirpin (and thus the title!) and i realised it's like ALMOST 6AM! *gassssssssp* if only i was staying up to do revision. :(

for the past few days WEEKS(!!!), i've been trying to sleep by 5 am, but i toss and turn till 6+ and it feels like i take forever to sleep! :(( then i try to wake up by 2 pm too but i always end up waking up at 5pm!!!! :((((((( my bodyclock is so totally screwed! :/ methinks i sleep waaaaay too much for someone's who's having exams. ohmaigaaaaad!._.

and yes, i will not blog anymore until the end of my exams! PROMISE! hahahahaha. i will now go to sleep before the SUN RISES, and hopefully i'll wake up before it SETS! :/:/:/:/
