its been sometime since i last updated eh? but actually there's nothing much to update anyways. i'm still waiting for work to start- feb 5.. in the mean time.. what do i do? ermz.. pretty much slacking.. :)

afterwards went to the library to return books and get new ones... ahbaden.. he only brought his sister's ez link.. and cannot borrow books unless we pay the outstanding fee of $8! :/ so no books for me.. :( so bought sushi *i ate it up before i could take photo.. :(* and convinced him to walk home.. such a lazy tellybummie. ahahha. :p he got so bored he threathened me he'll use the seaweed*i peel out the seaweed on my sushi..* to throw at the banglas! so evil right! so i dared him to hit the nose. ahahaha. in the end he couldn't. ahaha. of course. who would. lolliez. but the thought of it was quite funny. :p

so... off we go to vila'ge.. ex-marche. but actually its still the same stuff they have! :p rosti.. crepe.. stew.. steak.. pizza.. seafood.. and.... lots of yummy BUT expensive food. :( ahaha. :) oh wait. they've chucked the big old cows *those poor things!* to one side and replaced it with a smaller, fatter, geekier cow. :p cuter too actually. :)*sniff*

my mom's right! :) you just have to keep finding and you will really find. lol. everyone will also say the same thing actually. but i like the encouragements my mom give. :) they just encourage me the most. :) and i can't wait to see her soooooooon .:) and of course my papzie too. :) but his encouragements are more formal. but both of them never fail to encourage me. more like inspire me. :)

anyways. if u have no idea what i'm talking about.. well that's alright. its just one of those muriel rantings.. and i tell you there's a lot of them.. truckloadz. :p lalala. :)) ermz. anyways.. i realised i actually could have had a job if i have not rejected them. ahaha. :p you see.. i've been perpetually and faithfully checking the straits times classified ads once in awhile when i've really rotten to the max at home.. and i've done some calling up *i will die counting!* and job interviews.. let me see how many i've done.. and maybe i'll feel accomplised. :p

1- first one was at orchard towers and it was as an event crew. the guy who interviewed us *yes i managed to drag my boyfriend along :D* said they do more of advertising of events and stuff. and then and then after our super short interview, he asked us to come for a training the next day. :p ermz. as you've guessed and we kinda didn't turn up. lolliez. cos it was not what i had in mind! :p definitely not his either. :)

*photo time!*oh yah. the interviewer wasn't there yet so the girl asked us to go down get a drink first or something and she'll call us up when the person is back. so we did. went to mac and bought a drink and sundae hotfudge! :) yummie mummie. :))) *oink!* i harrased my boyfriend by taking his photo. ahahahah.he hates taking photos. sad part is.. i love taking them. :( oh and we saw andre *yes the council senior* when we went back for the interview. apparently he knows the lady who entertained us. what a small world it is. :) oh. here's my crossed boyfriend who hates me for taking his photos.. ahahah. :) toooo bad. :p

2- on the same day we went to cafe galilee *the cafe inside the library at taka* to apply as service crew since they published vacancies that day too.. *walk walk walk. turn left- dead end. walk walk walk. turn right- found the cafe. :))* filled up a form then this malay girl said find a seat and wait a while. *looks for a seat* failed. so we walked around reading some silly books. after maybe 15 minutes we found a seat. :) a table actually. then after maybe 5 minutes she came back. pretty friendly. then she interviewed both of us. said it was $4.50 per hour. was it? ermz i forgot. but i didn't like the rate. :( its so low. ahaha. so then she talk talk talk then we talk back too- as in answering her questions. after the whole thing she says they'll call us by the weekend if we got the job. too bad no phone call from them that weekend. wouldn't have taken it actually. :p

3- the next day i went to clarke quay for some customer service job. while waiting for my interview, turns out it was some approach-people type of job! what's worse was in their training room, i saw students doing orientation stuff. and that just helped me make up my mind. it was pretty similar to the first one actually. so the next day they called to say i got the job... i just said i took another job. how i wish it was true. :p

4- next one was at beauty world-kumon and applied for the marking worksheets job. i think he had alittle regret of changing his mind. he didn't really want to come. but in the end he did and was a little bit late for his soccer soccer game with his brrrrudders. hahas. :o kidding. :) the person already said about the difficutly of hiring student pass holders only as his staff are usually PRs atleast. :p just tell me i'm rejected and it would have been fast. :p besides.. it was $4.50/hour! :p

the next week, i continued my quest for a job. pretty tiring. :/ this time he accompanied me. more like again. :p well it was his first day in his job and won't start till 4 pm and his training ended at 12. so ate lunch together. yummy cajun chicken at long johns. :))) *oink oink!* then went to the library to return the meg cabot books i borrowed using his account and got 3 new ones. *summertime- rafaella barker, i'm a believer and cool for cats both by jessica adams :)* then decided to kill time there... and this is what he was reading! :p aiyoh. ahah. got a few funnny pages though.

5- he had to leave by 345 so i read my new book till 5 and went to this clarity cafe to apply as a waitress! it appeared like it was a happy house cafe to me. so i kinda like it. :) but the boss there wasn't exactly nice *well not that he had to be*. u could tell he's fierce. so i kinda didn't like it anymore. his voice is actually like mr victor ow yong. but anyways. pay is 4.50/hour. so it was one of those interviews i shouldn't have gone to cos in the end i won't take it anyway. :p haiz. silly muriel..

6- TODAY- went for my last job interview of the week. at harbourfront. as a printer tester. mr rashid did the same job while waiting for his O level results and saidi should be able to do it. and besides.. its $6/hour. just for sitting down and clicking the computer to test the printer. :) don't worry. i did not reject them yet. :p or maybe i won't at all. :) they had $2 meal allowance. and transport if u take the midnight shift!430-12. i prefer that and save on my ezlink money! :)

***after that interview convinces bazy bashid to walk to vivo. he agreed after convincing him bout the fare! :p and look what we saw while walking! :) a tree that has popcorn flowers! :) didn't touch it as he says it might be poisonous. hahas. quite true. it should be called popcorn tree. :)

we planned to eat the super nice chicken rice *oink oink!* at harbourfront before going vivo. but the rain just had to interfere. :( so looked for the nearest shelter and relek oni at one senior citizen corner. like mats. ahahha. no lah. we played jump. like ah pes!!!!!! ahaha. even worse. he suggested we used paper. :) smart beibee! :)

and so we played. but halfway through his mummy called. and he's supposed to meet her. but he refused to stop playing. so i made him eat all my pieces since it was a rule anyway and walked back to the bus stop. :p ***

so my grand total for now is 6! :)ermz. not so impressive yet huh? :I but considering i've called up alot alot alooooot *including jp's kebab stall. ahaha* and arranged appointments but didn't turn up in the end, i think i kinda achieved quite alot... notti me. but i just had enough lah! :( and my ezlink's gone to almost $0.. :( haiyoh. and alot of ads only want locals/prs. :( an here i am- yet to get a job i really want.

sad sad life. :p but oh wells. :p i should just wait for now. and i've got a class outing tomorrow. :) mg class i mean. :) its been a reaaaaaaaaaally long time since i've seen them. :p *photo time!* hahas will update again tml then. :)

met up withe froggy, ruru, hob and val to celebrate val's bdae. :) wasn't supposed to come actually but since my interview ended pretty early i could make it somehow.. and JP was like 5 minutes away from my place. :)

met up with ruru and xiang *who just went sun tanning with hong mah and pattie pat!* then they alr got the strawberry cake from breadtalk.. then val e pony came then hob.. or was it the other way around? ermz.. i can't recall. but anyways.. they decided to eat at billy bombers.


and boy the prices were really bombers.. :( not that i ate. :) cos i had dinner at home. :) hahas. so no need to complain much. :) they ordered and then we talked. more like i talked. :p i talked so much! i swear. i never talked that much for like the last few weeks. ahahaha. REALLY! anyways. we sang val a birthday song and since there was no candle*more like we THOUGHT-you thought you think who confirm? ahahahah- so wei xiang suggested to use the stupid candle animation in my phone. ahaha. he remebered we used it before too. i think pearlyn's birthday. haha. pretty helpful eh? :/ oh wells.


then after that wei xiang gathered the hearts he made for us and when he asked val, she just passed her handphone.. and the heart was not even hanging on it. ahahah. so we laughed. again. we spent half the time laughing actually. :)

YAY!!!!!!! :) i officially finished posting prom photos. :) actually i did loooooong time ago. but i don't exactly know what happened to the last post in which all the photos rebelled and refused to appear everytime i load my silly blog. but oh welliez. since i've got so much time, i split that post into three and took my own sweet lala time to post them. :) and i successfully finished. :)

ermz. what now. oh. after orientation, we met had a council lunch for few purposes:
1- to say goodbye to le bich ngoc before she leaves singapore
2- to say buhbyes to all the brave *:/* NS boys who's gonna leave us soon
3- and for catching up i guess. :)

so we met up at orchard. called susian to ask where he was and said j east.. so i asked him to wait for me. :) :) :) hurried to catch the very next train and we reached there late but everyone was late so we were one of the early latecomers. ahahaha. bought a chocolate fondant*drools* and finally met up with esther and hob then bought her scrunchie.. then saw ben and jenny *who else.. :p* then decided to go to BREEKS.

once seated down.. we asked susian to take our photo! :)


and each one of us had a camera. wahahaha. :p


then we happily ordered our yummy but oh-so-expensive food. :p while ordering ruru cheng joo came then followed by wei xiang. :) so we managed to ask the waiter to hold so he could get their orders too. :)

oh yah. i finished watching 10 episodes of band of brothers.. :) really nice story. but quite bloody. :p boohoo.. but its nice. :)

welli welliez.. its been FOREVER since i last updated.. or was that an understatement? :/ not quite-->*he claims its my favourite expression now... not quite.. :p*

anyways.. this was how i spent my new year.. originally we were supposed to happily watch fireworks at esplanade and stuff with jannah baby, shuhui and mummy. of course with the respective spouses, as how wei hoong named them like some species liddat. but not exactly. but that was what was supposed to happen which u might have guessed did not quite happen! :o sooo... in the end i decided to stay over at jannah's since his dahdee didn't let her go watch fireworks. :/ but its perfectly fine! she got me now! :) :) :) *hears e superman to the rescue sound!* lalala... i'm so humble am i not? ahahha. kidding..

anyways.. we happily walked to the bus stop *and i learnt there was a shortcut to my place too! tenkie tenkies jannah baby!* and we waited for the bus. the bus that never came. the bus that we waited for for about ONLY 20 minutes. the bus that never came cos skipped that bus stop for crying out loud! and it skipped the silly bus stop cos there was some silly rerouting for a wonderful celebration going on. yes. how wonderful. very wonderful indeed.luckily we made that extra effort to read a silly note hanging at the bus stop that said so.. :. lucky us. :p too bad for the other 20 people on the other bus stop waiting for the bus that will never come. we wanted to tell them. but like.. pai seh... :/

but instead of letting the celebration ruin our night we joined in the fun! *enthu face* not the program i tell you. but just the pasar malam there. :) :) :) and when there's pasar malam there's always ramly burgers! :) :) :) :) :) :) did i tell u i liked ramly burgers? well now you do? who doesn't anyway. :p and in case u have no idea what it is.. let me show you how it is made. :) yes.. i took photos. :) not that they will infringe me for some ramly burger law right? i never took any of the people who made it anyway.. so you'll never know.. :) they'll never know! :D lalala..


first step: put the margarine/butter to grease that big flat pan.. *yes its fattening.. but DO I LOOK LIKE I CARE? :)*


next step: put the egg onto the pan! :)

then: squash the egg.. or whatever. just make it look like this. ok? good :)

next: put the patty which has been fried on the other side of the pan. and i never take photo. oops. i'm sorry. :p

and then the cheese

and then put chili sauce

and mayo

and bbq sauce..

finish it up by folding the eggies like that

then you're pretty much done..

so we went to the right bus stop afterwards and waited for our dear bus. and tapped as a student for the last time! :( no more $0.55 fares. :( sigh...reached jannah baby's house. watched the celebration on tv and ate our burgers.. and jumped when it struck 12!: ) :) :) its supposed to make you grow tall! :) but apparently it does NOT work considering i've been doing it since my parents told me which was like... a very long time ago! and here i am. 155 cm tall. great. :p but it was a simple but meaningful new year nonetheless.. watched some silly movie which had the slowest story line ever! :/ brotherhood or smth liddat. couldn't take it so we went to sleep! :p oh and took some photos.. :)

this is gonna be a looooooong entry! :) and that’s a good thing ok.. cos its not with silly babbling but with nice photos! :) :) :)

started the day by going to sim lim to buy a camera with beibee. Yes on the day of prom itself… silly silly silly muriel! :p hahas. luckily the uncle had pre-charged batteries... and gave me a pretty good deal for a 1 GB upgrade plus extra batttery and tax. :p so yep.. off i went to the salon to meet dearest pigrass.. :)

after doing the hair and make-up went back to change and errr.. yeah. then mr rashid a.k.a. the knight in shining armour *cooler version* came to pick us up! :) notti zheng cong left pigrass behind so she came with us. :) did final touches in the cab since we kinda got stuck in silly jams.. so we were a little bit late.. just a little bit! :p

and after walking miles and miles and miles with heels.. *thank God for taller pigrass who swapped shoes with shorter pigrass.. high heels kills your feet. its so hard to be tall! :p* we reached DXO! :) cut a little bit of a queue and managed to get in.. *notti yvonne managed to get a fake ID. lol. fine.. borrow lah hor..*

went in and saw beibee inside... sat for awhile and took photos and danced a little bit with pigrass, nazi, yvonne and derry and sat again. zheng cong just sat happily at the couch area while drinking his coke.. :) later i queued for the ladies' free drink and when i finally reached the bartender i whispered *not really whispered.. but i tried to speak as softly as possible*



"do you have mango juice?" and i swear he gave me an are-you-from-mars look.. ahahahahaha sorry lah. i don't drink.. so in the end i took coke.. :) ahahaha. good girl eh? i am lah! :p

zheng cong and pigrass wanted to go home *way past our bedtime. lol* so i took off with them since he had no intentions of leaving the place. hahas... and so we cabbed home. :)and here's the photos.. :)
